Happy December!

Kindle GiveawayThree years ago, about this time I pulled a near all-nighter watching the Amazon rank of my first ever book on its release day blitz. Thanks to awesome folks like you, we found there was an audience for Bobbi and Chuck's story, for authentically flawed characters who struggled to make faith fit life in a genuine way. I'm so thankful, so grateful for the opportunity to write for you. So to show my appreciation and celebrate our three year adventure, my publisher has graciously teamed up with me to give away a Kindle Fire and e-book versions of the six books we've published.

If you haven't already, please enter to win a Kindle Fire and tell your friends. The contest ends December 17th

Sanction release
Thank you for making Sanction's release one of our most successful debuts. If you haven't already picked up a copy, it is available in  KindleNook and paperback versions. You won't be disappointed. Early reviews have been excellent. If you have read it (or any of the other books) I would deeply appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to leave a review. Your words, your recommendations are the most powerful means of getting the books into readers' hands. Thank you.

NaNoWriMo
National Novel Writing Month is celebrated each November by writer types who set a goal to log 50,000 words in 30 days. Because of Thanksgiving travel plans, I had only 26 days, but I am happy to report, we made it! I drafted the first half a story with Phil and Donna's younger son Michael, and it picks up immediately after Contingency ends. Hopefully, it will grow up and be the second book in a new series. Incidentally, Sanction began as a NaNo novel two years ago, so good things happen in November.

I have a few other projects that have taken a backseat for Sanction and NaNo and remodeling my office (which is almost done - hallelujah!) so be watching for details after the first of the year. In the meantime, I'm looking for a little help. If you have been through a divorce as a believer and would be willing to share some of your experience, would you email me? I promise you won't end up a character in a book (... Unless you want that ... We can talk about it...)

Second, if you have been through the devastation of Alzheimer's disease and would be willing to look at some scenes for me, please email me. Again this is private correspondence and will be treated as such.

Finally, if you're new here, welcome. I love hearing from you - questions, comments ... anything. My inbox is always open, and I try to respond to emails and messages the same day. In fact, let me prime the pump a little ... While on our extended Thanksgiving car trip, I started kicking around the idea of maybe writing a Christmas themed story ... just a short, feel-good type story. (I think I can do that.) Anyway, my question is ... which character would you like to see? My first thought was BRAD. (Yes, we can bring back the dead for this.) Reply to this email and tell me who YOU would like to see in a Christmas novella.

Until 2014! May God fill your Christmas with fresh wonder and your new year with abundant blessings!

Love,

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5
