Following an internal review of research priorities, the School's commissioned studies and gaps in the current evidence base, we have commissioned new scoping reviews and adding value projects on key issues. These include:

  • People who fund their own social care Professor Caroline Glendinning, Social Policy Research Unit, University of York
  • Practice and profile of care home managers Katharine Orellana, Social Care Workforce Research Unit, King's College London

  • Risk, safety and safeguarding: understanding and application of concepts and implications for integrated care services Professor Yvonne Birks and Dr Fiona Aspinal, Social Policy Research Unit, University of York

  • The development and testing of a local framework for evaluating prevention effects in England Dr Jose-Luis Fernandez, Personal Social Services Research Unit, London School of Economics and Political Science.
Findings from these reviews will be available by the end of April 2014. Email us for further information
