1. The privilege and joy of working together as missionaries of our local church, Fairfield Christian Family, with the Canberra Declaration and the National Day of Prayer and Fasting. Special events in 2013 were the World Congress of Families in Sydney and the Billion Souls Revival Prayer Call, a global 40 days of prayer and fasting initiated by the team we work with.
2. The birth of our third grandchild, Solomon David, the anticipation of another grandson in 4 weeks and the engagements of Anna to Michael and Naomi to Matt.
3. Losing weight over 8 months on the Dukan Diet (Marilyn 15 kgs, David 8 kgs).
4. The writing and release of David's book "Up the Track with JESUS - Reflections on KOKODA for Men" now available as a pdf file or hard copy.
5. For David, the chance to go to South Korea as part of an Aussie team to learn about prayer and revival. For Marilyn, the learning of many new computer skills for the work through U3A and self-discovery!
Prayer Points for 2014
1. Hearing more clearly from God which tasks to take on and which to leave aside.
2. Healing for Marilyn who has been experiencing a sore throat and ears for several months. After visiting several doctors she now has a diagnosis (TMJD and contact ulcer of the larynx). Next she will visit a speech therapist and have an endoscopy.
3. Building a stronger support team so as to be more effective in the ministry (both prayer supporters and financial supporters).
4. Making progress regarding the Canberra Declaration fulfilling its mission of 'upholding Judeo-Christian values in Australia by using media to encourage prayer and positive action'. .
5. Learning and living a lifestyle of prayer and fasting in order to see greater breakthrough on many fronts.
