Happy 2014!

As we kick off a new year, let me catch you up on all the new developments around here.

Post Kindle Giveaway Update

Congratulations to Linda for winning the Kindle Fire. Hosting the contest was tremendous. Your response was amazing--Facebook likes, newsletter subscription, blog followers--I was blown away. Your enthusiasm was terrific. I definitely want to do that again.

(In fact to show my appreciation for you, my newsletter subscribers, I've got a little giveaway just for you. Last month, I read the book Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. I'm making four copies available. If you'd like to win an e-book copy of Wild at Heart (Kindle or Nook) head over to this giveaway page. Contest ends January 10. Thank you for your continued support.)

New Office

Finally after months and months, I moved back into my newly remodeled office! Yay! Here's a peek at my desk, my bookshelves and my race bibs. :-) I have a sofa arriving in about a month. I feel more creative already.

In fact, here are the main projects I have on my list for 2014:
1. Edit and release Resolute
2. Begin contracting, drafting and editing a new series of books featuring Donna Shannon, Michael Shannon and David Shannon
3. Draft (and release - I hope) a Christmas novella featuring Brad Molinsky

I need your help!
Last month, someone graciously left a review for Contingency. It read "I was amazed at the depth of understanding and reality shown in this book of fiction. Unlike many Christian books that seem superficial and simplistic, Wiseman's novel portrays both God and people with truth and accuracy."

That made my day. I want to deliver engaging stories with genuine characters that ultimately portray God's truth in action in real life situations. Here's where I need your help. I'm doing some long range plotting and planning, and I'd love to know what you'd like to see in future books - characters, topics, whatever.

For instance, I know there is a LOT of interest in Matt and Shannon. We will definitely see them again. Reply to this email and let me know what you think!

I'm also thinking and re-thinking my blog. If you have suggestions for posts, series, formats, please send them to me. Just reply to this email. Thanks!

(PS: If you've never left a book review, let me encourage you to take a few minutes and do that. Every review helps raise the profile of the book and it makes it more likely that another reader will take a chance on the story. Thank you!)

I don't know if you noticed the number at the top, but this is my 50th newsletter. 50! Thanks for sticking with me all this time.

Wishing you a blessed year!

“You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” Psalm 65:11 (NKJV)
