Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
From the Thorntons
Greetings from sunny Senegal, where we celebrated Christmas with no snow but lots of holiday cheer. Hopefully by now you've gotten through the pile of Christmas emails filling up your inbox and will have a moment to read through ours. We'll keep it brief! :)
While Isabella was on Christmas break, we were able to get out more to visit with pastors and their families. It was a joy to see the Lord working in young flocks shepherded by faithful men. Pastor Alaïnde Diatta and his wife Honnette have had the added challenge of caring for their baby boy Job, who is almost three months old. On our last visit, not only did Dan sit down for a heart to heart with Alaïnde about expository preaching and mentoring young believers, but Angie also shared some helpful tips with Honette about getting her little one to sleep through the night. After weeks of sleep disturbances, the Diattas are finally getting some much needed rest.
As we look ahead to 2014, we are trusting the Lord to guide us to more pastoral families, more unbelievers He has chosen for Himself, and more believers to build up within the body of Christ. We are also praying for Him to guide you in the good works He has prepared in advance for you.
