Wild dogs and lions on Moremi mobile camping safari!
Our game drive starts from the lodge in the morning and directly headed to Moremi Game Reserve. It is very nice and green. At this time it is easy to identify different grass and shrubs, and you see so many different insects. The first hour of the drive is nice and smooth, and once we get to the first gate we start to see animals. We saw very good numbers of buffalo, giraffe, kudu, impala and hippo on this safari. And it is so wonderful with all the young ones at this time of year!
It is very good to see that the wilddog populations seems to be growing every year, we have seen wild dog on almost every game drive that we have done to Moremi in december. This is the reason why I am saying that the population is growing. On this game drive we saw a pack of eleven just relaxing on the first day. And on the second day we saw a single wilddog taking down a steenbok. Those are special sightings, we were really lucky to see the dogs.
You can drive on the same track a thousand times in the bush and you will see different things every time. How nice it was to find a really relaxed pride of eleven lions next to the road, just waiting for someone to come by and take a picture, wow!
