Individuals with a behavioral health condition are nicotine dependent at a rate of two to three times higher than the general population and consume over 34% of all cigarettes smoked in the US. The decision last week by CVS Caremark to stop selling tobacco products effective October 1, 2014, in over 7,600 pharmacies across the United States, is a milestone for the tobacco control movement.
