Now that registration for the Age of Bronze Competition is reaching its end, MACAM is awaiting the sculpture models that the participating artists have to deliver before January 31, 2014.

MONOT STREET BOOK MARKET
It is wintertime; our outdoor activities have to await warmer weather. Monot Street will remain quiet the first Saturday of January as the street book market will not take place.
Wishing all our friends who share with us this cultural street event a wonderful leisure time fulfilled with marvelous reading!

ACTIVITIES at MACAM
MACAM has a special visiting program for students. It includes a guided tour through the permanent exhibition Panorama of Sculpture in Lebanon, drawing with various coloring utensils and a manual workshop with all kinds of recycling material, and a presentation after the guided tour about the History of Sculpture in Lebanon. The duration of the program is two hours. The visit is an eye-opener to art in Lebanon.

NEW AFFILIATIONS
RectoVerso Library has become affiliated lately with two professional associations. It became a member in the Lebanese Library Association and a member in MoHo, Modern Heritage Observatory, a network of institutions working for the preservation of modern cultural heritage in the Middle East and North Africa, an initiative supported by the European Union.

BOAS FESTAS E BOAS FERIAS !
The Portuguese class at RectoVerso is progressing well and always with great ‘alegria'. The classes are interrupted now for the holiday season. Classes will resume on Wednesday, 15 January on a faster speed to get the participants well prepared with better knowledge of the Portuguese language for the planned trip to Lisbon in June 2014.
