Thank you for supporting SAM children in 2013, providing them nutrition through our project "Combat Malnutrition"

Amrita-Seattle prevents malnutrition in village children through health care Project "Combat Malnutrition" started in February 2013, in collaboration with West Bengal Government and Integrated Child Development Services and Child In Need Institute.

Amrita-Seattle has provided nutritional supplement to 167 severely acute malnourished children under the age of 5 for over 6 months in nine villages of Diamond Harbor, West Bengal

"I had 5 children. One died last year from severe malnutrition. Four of them were still suffering. They have recovered after having Nutrimix for 6 months. Could you please provide more ?"

Preliminary data analysis (by Dr. Subhadra Ghosh, Seattle) shows that intake of nutritional supplement for 6 months has shifted the children from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) to Moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) category.
