TRAVEL WITH JULES
Well here we are the end of another year .... and what an incredible year it has been for Travel With Jules!  More people than ever completed their Route 66 dreams across America and I'm happy to say a lot of you headed to my favourite place, Africa!  Most popular destinations were USA, Lapland & Northern Lights, Zambia and Italy.  A few more unusual destinations included Cambodia, Vietnam, Panama, Latvia and Japan.  Have a browse through the website testimonials for some feedback on this year's 'travellers tales'.

For the first time since TWJ was 'born', I actually travelled myself this year too!  India, Sri Lanka, Hungary and Tuscany were my new 'ticks' on the planet.

So what is up and coming on the travel radar for 2014 and where in the world would YOU like to go?  Top tips for opening up new destinations include Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea and Burma. There are hot (literally!) new private island retreats in the Caribbean or Indian Ocean and gorgeous new places to stay in boutique hotels and lodges around the world.

January is set to be our busiest New Year yet so don't delay - get in touch now to book your 2014 holiday!  Especially if you are travelling with children, school holiday flights quickly book up so make sure you are ahead of the late rush.  Getting married in 2014?  Let me take the stress of organising the honeymoon off your hands.

Here are just a few ideas for places set to be popular in 2014
Westin Bonaventure Hotel
AFRICA

With the recent passing of Nelson Mandela and the publicity surrounding the film Long Walk to Freedom, South Africa is set for a popularity surge this coming year. Why not combine some culture and history with a safari or a self drive? Cape Town is a fabulous city for amazing food and wine.

News from East Africa includes the 'multiple visa' for visitors to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, meaning you can combine gorilla trekking with a safari and beach holiday all under the same entry permit.

Zambia continues to gain popularity following the great BBC programme filmed in South Luangwa National Park.

Hotel Angeleno
ASIA

Inspired by my recent visits to India and Sri Lanka I am keen to sell a lot more of Asia in 2014.  An amazing diverse (and huge) continent, there is something here for everyone.  Explore the centre of the continent along the ancient silk routes, trek in the mountains, enjoy the incredible spas and immerse yourself in the chaos, sights and smells of the cities!

Direct flights to Chengdu in China mean it's easier to see Pandas now and direct flights to Jakarta have opened up more opportunities in Indonesia, including Bali, a popular honeymoon destination.

For wildlife holidays why not head to the parks of India or the forests of Borneo?
