Our first and most enjoyable function of the year in our MINI WALK.
This year it will be held on Saturday 8th Feb, here at school, starting at 9am sharp!!.It is a fabulous opportunity to bring your family, and enjoy a walk around the wet lands meeting new friends. The relaxed walk ends with a fun morning in the school garden. There will be loads of exciting games for your children to play, cool drinks, eats and of course our delicious bacon and cheese rolls. Keep this morning open and come and enjoy yourselves. More detailed information on this event will be sent tomorrow.
WHERE TO HELP!!!!!!!
We are always in need of parent involvement and assistance on various levels. Please return the attached forms in your message pockets by Friday this week to let us know where you may be able to help. We will be in contact with you shortly. Particularly with regard to our first function on Saturday 8th Feb- The Mini Walk! We need help to man the food and games stalls.
HOME VISITS
As part of our programme at Fish Hoek Pre-Primary School, the teacher’s would love to visit your child at home. Please make a time to invite your child’s teacher to your house for a short visit and perhaps a cup of tea. This is a vital and important part of educating and understanding these small children.

â€œI think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway... let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”

SNACK TIME
Please note that no sweet biscuits, chips, chocolate muffins etc are allowed in your child’s lunch box. A sandwich, some fruit, salty or plain biscuits, cheese, ham etc, provide the energy that your child needs to grow and learn. The children are also asked to bring in a fruit each day. It is cut up and shared amongst the class just before story time!
SPARE CLOTHES
Please remember to pack in some spare clothes and a HAT, for your child each day, particularly the younger ones. The children often need to change for various reasons and it becomes a little tricky when there is nothing for them to wear!!!
HATS AND SUN CREAM
Please don’t forget sun cream and hats for your children each day!!!! Sun cream needs to be applied at home each morning. Ingrid who is in charge of Stay and Play( aftercare) will put cream on the children for the afternoon.
SCHOOL FEES
Please note that January School Fees are due and must be paid as soon as possible. Statements will be in your message pocket early in February.
The Stationary fee of R450 is also now due. Included in this price is a class t’shirt for your child.
PAPER NEEDED PLEASE
We are desperate for A4 paper that the children can draw on. If you have a contact for paper, card or stickers, please let me know .
