NEW: LAS Opens 
Small Grants Program


The LAS Small Grants Program is intended for LAS faculty in disciplines (primarily humanities) that have limited opportunities for obtaining external research funding. The maximum request for each proposal is $1,250 for conference travel or $1,750 for activities that directly support research. The deadline for spring submission is February 17, 2014.

CEAH Internal Grant Funding Opportunities

The FY15 internal funding opportunities for tenured and tenure-track faculty are open. The application deadline is Monday, March 3rd, 2014 by 5 p.m. 

Research Grant

CEAH provides grants of up to $5,000 for research and creative activity in the arts and humanities that contributes to the professional development of tenured or tenure-track faculty.

Planning Grant

The CEAH invites applications from associate and full professors to fund a substantial project that will increase their competitiveness in applications to funding agencies recognized by the Association of American Universities.

Grant Workshop


How to Write a Successful NSF CAREER Grant Proposal

Four recent CAREER grant awardees will talk about their experiences in developing their proposals, including their plans for the broader impacts, evaluation, and other requirements of this program. Dr. Arun Somani, Associate Dean for Research at the College of Engineering, will provide an introduction and moderate the discussion.
