How You Can Help Reduce Car Break-Ins:
To reduce the potential for bear attacks on park visitors, Park Rangers give out simple advice: don’t feed the bears, avoid leaving food at unattended camp sites, and clean up and put away dirty dishes, pots and pans after meals. When people don’t take these simple precautions, bears have an incentive to return again and again, sometimes with tragic results.

The same is true with car break-ins. If we all did a better job of locking our cars at night, taking valuable property inside, and parking in well-lit areas or secure garages, criminals would be less likely to come around.
