An Exciting Year!

We've got lots of new opportunities, one is helping serve in a local church plant!

We've had lots of activity recently with teams, and tomorrow a big team of Amish youth are coming on a bus for 2 weeks to serve in practical areas on the base. Pepe will be helping direct the work team and doing some construction projects in local communities.

The picture you see above is of a local church plant in a community called Cedros. It's located about 15 minutes from where we live and every Wednesday evening we're going to help serve. As you can see it's really growing!

I had the opportunity to teach recently, and within the next two weeks I'm hoping to start a kids program! The picture was taken while a visiting team was putting on a performance and we had the opportunity to pray with several families in need.

Meet Fatima, a 16 year old with a 9 month old named Pedro. She started coming to the church because her husband lost his job and she was told to come and she would find help. Every week families bring food items as the offering and then it's taken to a family in need. She was given the groceries at service a couple of weeks ago and has started coming consistently. They're getting by as best they can, but don't have enough to buy even basic food items, much less diapers for their child for example. Please pray that that her husband would soon find a job, and most of all that through the love and support she finds at the church that she would personally come to have a relationship with God!

Camila is doing great! Growing SO MUCH every day as you can see from the picture:) She's always got a smile on her face and is becoming much more skilled with using her hands to put everything into her mouth! To read more about her you can read one of my latest Camila updates: Click Here.

The picture above is a get together with all the couples on the base back in December. We've been so blessed with our house in being able to entertain frequently!

In other news, our next big commitment is helping staff the upcoming Discipleship Training School. It will last from March 7-August 22nd Currently we're in the process of recruiting students, setting up teachers, having staff training, etc. We're so excited for this opportunity to pour into the lives of young people that are seeking a deeper relationship with God! You'll be hearing lots more details in the updates to come!
