From Waterville Valley, NH ~
Register NOW for the EAST FREE TOUR - NH Open!!!
The Waterville Valley park is in great shape. Come show us your best tricks at the NH Open!
As of right now, we have very low numbers of athletes signed up for this competition. If we don't get more athletes signed up soon, we will have to cancel the event. If you are planning on participating, PLEASE sign up now at http://www.easternfreestyle.org/schedule. Registration closes tomorrow night, Wednesday 1/22 at 6pm, so don't delay! Don't forget that this event is the Junior National Qualifier event: if you want to qualify for Big Air at USSA Junior Nationals in Park City, you have to compete on Friday in the back to back Big Air competitions. They are the only two Big Air comps in the east! Hope to see you there!

From Stratton, VT ~
The Rob Baird Memorial at Stratton, VT will be two days of single moguls competitions. Dual moguls has been changed to a single mogul. There will be no training offered on Friday due to the late course build schedule. Coaches and athletes from other programs are welcome to come on Friday, but we will be stepping and skiing in the moguls and building the jumps. Training tickets and coaches tickets are available at the ticket window.
One last reminder: Be sure to read the new Eastern rules below in respect to B's skiing in A mogul and dual mogul events.
ECS 6: Quotas/Registration
New for 2013-14 Registration: All ECS athletes are strongly encouraged to register on-line for ECS Freestyle mogul and dual mogul events. Reminder: Cancellations and full refunds are granted within 48 hours of the event and easily processed by sending refunds@easternfreestyle.org an email. It is important that our event organizers have a general idea of participation numbers and online registration helps to support this. Registration will close two days prior to the first competition of the event, generally on Thursdays. Online registration closing dates are published on the information sheet for every event. On the morning of an ECS event all walk-in ECS athletes must be registered prior to 7:45am. Registration for A athletes will close at 7:45am. At 7:46am if the event has less than 95 competitors, EQS one-time visit competitors may register to participate up to 95 competitors to ensure two runs for all competitors. There will be times where A events have more than 95 A competitors and a performance cut will be necessary. Questions regarding this new registration rule should be directed to the Eastern Chairman.
Basically: When an event has more than 95 A skiers registered, B skiers are not able to participate.
Think winter!
