Happy New Year <<First Name>>!
Here's how you can be praying for us this month...

Praise God that:
  • We've survived our first year in Papua New Guinea (check out our photos from the first year HERE). We've even thrived and adjusted well (thanks to all the prayers);
  • Our first year was a relatively healthy year with only a few minor illnesses and worms. We had friends around us with malaria, dengue fever, appendicitis and other medevacs.
  • We finished our first year in the field fully funded. While we are still under underfunded for regular monthly gifts, we did receive several very generous onetime gifts in 2013.
Pray with us:
  • Josh will be leaving Friday, January 24 for two weeks for meetings and a Bible dedication on the most remote island in PNG. He will take two plains and a two day boat ride to get to the dedication. Pray for safety on the road, in the air and on the water, and pray for the Nukumanu people who are receiving the New Testament in their language;
  • For Sarah and the kids who will be home alone for the next two weeks. During the last few trips, we were blessed to have other single girls stay with Sarah, but this time we aren't expecting any new housemates;
  • Sarah and Makenna are fighting a battle with lice. Pray that they win soon, and that we find ways to prevent more from coming in the future. We hear that it can be an ongoing battle in Ukarumpa.
