iTrekNepal Introduces Exclusive CIP Airport Greeting Service
For first-time visitors to Nepal, getting through immigration, baggage claim and customs can be a very confusing experience. iTrekNepal offers a unique VIP greeting service (officially known as "CIP" service in Nepal) for our guests to help you navigate smoothly through the maze of Kathmandu International Airport upon your arrival.
An iTrekNepal representative will meet you shortly after you enter the terminal, before you start the immigration process. He will make sure you are in the right place, have the right documents available and answer any questions you might have. While you wait to get your immigration documents finalized he will locate your baggage and have this ready for you as you clear immigration. He will then escort you through customs and to your awaiting iTrekNepal guide, driver and vehicle for the short drive to your hotel.
Our guests who have received this service are amazed and pleased with how easy and comfortable they feel having a local representative meet and assist them right off the plane. Other travelers who are left to fend for themselves at the airport wonder how our guests merit such special treatment.
At the end of your trip, an iTrekNepal representative will also be there with you to assist with your airline check-in and emigration procedures, escorting you through to the final security clearance.
From the moment of your arrival until your final departure, iTrekNepal will be there to insure that you have a comfortable, anxiety-free experience.
iTrekNepal’s CIP service is provided for all guests who have selected the Classic trek option, and is available for a modest fee for our standard option guests. Please inquire about this service when you contact us about booking a trek.

 Guest comments from last season
".... thanks so much for having organised yet another fantastic trek for us.…we so enjoyed the Manaslu region as it still appears relatively untouched - I think it's the prettiest trek we've done so far. Dill was just wonderful as usual and we had a good team again with our porters Jedbado and Tegbado. Shree was a fantastic host for us in Kathmandu and it's always a pleasure to see his smiling face waiting for us every time!

"Thanks so much for looking after me in Nepal. My guide for the trek was more like a friend who was excited to show me his country. In fact other trekkers were jealous. The flexibility you guys allow was so useful on the trek and in the cities. I felt like I was really welcome in the country by everyone. See you again!"
- JL Smith

"We just wanted to say very many thanks to everyone at ITrek who helped with our recent holiday to Nepal. We had a fantastic time and really appreciated the way you treated us both before and during the trip."

Trekking Peaks – Reaching Higher
Nepal has dozens of spectacular mountains in the 5500 – 7000m range that can be scaled by first-time mountaineers who have the fitness and motivation to scale a trekking peak. Island Peak and Mera Peak in the Everest region are two of the most popular trekking peaks, which can be combined with treks to base camp and other parts of the Everest region. Climbing a trekking peak requires special equipment and the guidance of our very experienced trek leaders who will insure that you complete the climb safely while enjoying the experience.
iTrekNepal is a licensed member of the Nepal Mountaineering Association. We can acquire the necessary permits for these trekking expeditions. We also provide our guests with all the training, equipment and any other support required to complete a successful ascent.
Our lead guide for trekking peak expeditions is Jangbo Sherpa. He has summited Mt. Everest 11 times and has led many expeditions to the major Himalayan peaks. In addition to Island and Mera Peaks, Jangbo recommends Pisang Peak and Mardi Himal in the Annapurna region. Jangbo and his team will make sure that you have a great experience reaching new highs in the Himalayas.
Chitwan and Bardia National Park Wildlife Safaris
Royal Bengal Tiger at Chitwan National Park
Nepal has two major national parks where you can experience an incredible variety of indigenous wildlife in their natural habitat. Chitwan is the better known park with extensive lodging in and around the park.
It is also fairly easy to get to Chitwan from either Kathmandu or Pokhara, making it an ideal place to spend 3 to 5 days following a trek.  Chitwan shelters one-horned rhinos, Bengal tigers, leopards, langur monkeys, crocodiles, and wild elephants, along with more than 400 species of exotic and common local birds. Sightings of the splendid one-horned rhino are usually more common here than in Bardia.
Bardia is located in the far southwestern region of Nepal so it’s not as easy to get to as Chitwan, but its unspoiled remoteness makes it a very authentic jungle safari experience. The park protects the same amazing variety of animal and bird species as Chitwan, but this is where you are more likely to spot the rare Bengal tiger in its natural habitat.
Both parks can be visited from September through June, but the ideal time for wild animal sightings, especially Bengal tigers, is in March and April. The fall is also an excellent time to visit the parks, with cooler weather and good animal viewing conditions.
iTrekNepal can arrange your wildlife safari including all transportation, lodging, guided park tours and fees. Our favorite lodge in Chitwan is the Rhino Residency Resort. In Bardia our guests usually stay at the Forest Hideaway.  However, we will be glad to arrange your accommodations wherever you prefer, from basic lodges to the finest deluxe resort.
