*New Commission*
I am thrilled to announce a new commission from Craig Hella Johnson and VAE: Cincinnati’s Vocal Arts Ensemble. Renowned as one of today’s most influential voices in choral conducting, Craig Hella Johnson is the artistic director of Austin-based Conspirare and has recently been appointed the artistic director of VAE. This new work will be settings of several poems by Langston Hughes to be performed alongside works by J.S. Bach, Dominick Argento, R. Nathaniel Dett, and Kevin Puts. Performance: May 2, 2014 at 7:30pm. Memorial Hall, Cincinnati, OH.

"Dreams of the Fallen" Feature
The Huffington Post featured an article about "Dreams of the Fallen" - my work for solo piano, chorus, and orchestra recently premiered by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. A setting of poetry by award-winning poet and Iraq War veteran Brian Turner, this work explores the impact war has on an individual.

Nebraska/Iowa Tour
Led by renowned conductor Andre Thomas, the Nebraska All-State Choir performed my "Nyon Nyon" in November. I had the opportunity to travel to Lincoln, NE and work with this amazing group of energetic singers as well as choirs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Doane College. I was invited to Luther College (Iowa) to work with their Cathedral Choir and legendary conductor Weston Noble came to watch!
