Revised Supportive Personnel Guidelines

In October 2013, we asked members to provide feedback on two drafts of the Revised Supportive Personnel Guidelines. We are pleased to announce that both documents are now finalized:
CASLPA would like to thank the two Supportive Personnel Guidelines Ad Hoc Committees tasked with revising these guidelines for their dedication — their contributions have ensured that these documents remain current and relevant to our members.

We would also like to thank our members for their thoughtful input. We received extensive feedback regarding swallowing in particular and, given the depth and complexity of this topic, we will ask the CASLPA Expert Committee for Supportive Personnel Issues to address the subject this year. If the committee decides that the Supportive Personnel Guidelines require additional changes, we will amend the documents at that time; for now, the parts concerning swallowing remain unchanged from the drafts members reviewed last fall.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Chantal Kealey, AuD, Aud(C), Director of Audiology and Supportive Personnel, at chantal@caslpa.ca.
