Premier Sports Academy Open House Sessions 
Students currently in Grades 7-11 are invited to attend open houses this month for the soccer, tennis, hockey and baseball academies. For full details, please visit the academy website. Register for a session here.

Lifeguard certification ready to launch
West Vancouver School District will be offering some new programming and extending other successful courses for the 2014/2015 school year. Emergency Response Leadership 11, a new one year course for students in Grades 9-11, offers students the opportunity to pursue their life guard certification. ACE-IT program information session
Parents from across the North Shore are invited to attend West Vancouver Secondary School's ACE-IT Carpentry information session on February 12, 6-7 pm. The ACE-IT Carpentry Program provides training for Grades 11 and 12 students interested in a career in carpentry-related trades. Learn more.

Rockridge to host speaker on the value of a liberal arts and sciences education
How can a liberal arts and sciences degree help connect students to jobs? Dr. David Helfand, BA, MS, PhD, current president and Vice-Chancellor of Quest University, will join students and parents at Rockridge Secondary on February 12 at 6:30 pm to describe a model of education to produce informed and engaged leaders for the new century. Parents and students from across the district are welcome to attend this free one-hour presentation. Learn more.

Full football scholarship at University of Texas for former WVSS student
