Ongoing Exhibits
I wanted to inform everyone of two exhibits I am participating in which opened in January. One is in a dynamic artspace/restaurant called Mitte located on Calle Bailen, 86, in Barcelona and the other is in the beautiful Paper Museum, Museu de Paperer de Capellades. Below I include their schedules and dates of the shows.
Exposiciones en curso
Quiero informarte de dos exposiciones en las que participo y que se han inaugurado en enero. Una está en el dinámico espacio restaurante Mitte, situado en la calle Bailén 87, de Barcelona. La otra está en el hermoso museo del papel, Museu Paperer de Capellades. Más abajo indico las fechas y horarios de las exposiciones.

Monotypes
I enjoy making monoprints in between creating an installation or my dresses or shoes. A monoprint known as the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques , is essentially a printed painting. The characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike; although images can be similar, editioning is not possible. Monoprints combine spontaneity of printed inks and paper, creating a surface that is unlike any other art.
Monotipos
Me encanta hacer grabados cuando tengo un poco de tiempo entre una instalación o crear mis vestidos y zapatos. El “monoprint”, es conocido como el método más pictoricista de las técnicas de grabado, es básicamente una pintura grabada. La característica de este método es que no hay dos grabados iguales, aunque las imágenes pueden ser similares, nunca es posible hacer una edición. Los “monoprints” combinan la espontaneidad de las tintas de imprimir y el papel, y tienen una apariencia que es única en el mundo del arte.
