Fratello's
Greetings!

After weeks of weather adventures, so to speak, it looks like we're back to ho-hum Ohio winter weather. Not that I'm complaining (well, sort of), and let's hope we never hear the term "polar vortex"again, but you know what I mean. But I say, to heck with another "ho-hum" weekend, it's time to go out and treat yourselves to a good meal, some good wine, and good companionship! And I bet you're surprised, but I have an idea of where you might go for such a culinary adventure. Why it's Fratello's, where we will be featuring this very weekend Boneless Beef Short Ribs, Sable Fish from Alaska, Arctic Char from the Canadian Arctic, and Grouper Cheeks. Oh, and we will probably have some veal and shrimp and calamari and clams and mussels and chicken and pasta and beer and wine and spirits and...

I have added a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo to our feature board, which is the little brother to the Montepulciano, San Zopito, which is on our wine list. The grape in this wine is 100% Montepulciano, and offers medium body, soft tannins and good balance. The wine sheets suggest that the wine has "sweet fragrances of vanilla, blackberries, chocolate, cinnamon, liquorice and pepper, with hints of mint and rosemary", but I say it is a decent tasting wine that works with our menu at an affordable price. It joins the Cab from Joel Gott, the Locations "E" and Nero D'Avola from Italy. I have also added a new beer to our tap, Ranger IPA from the New Belgium Brewing Company from Colorado. This is a hoppier beer from a brewing company new to our market, with a ABV of 6.5%. IPA's are very popular now, and New Belgium is a respected brewer, so give it a try.

Thanks for your continued support, no matter the season. It is very much appreciated. We hope to see you soon. Take care.

Ciao
