Besotted with Beetroot
I'm mad for the stuff. Its taste, its colour and its versatility. Full to bursting with nutrients and health benefits and  so easy to cook with,  add it to salads and make juices and soups, even cakes! Ooh I could eat it all day long.  So could the Romans - they believed whole heartedly that beetroot was an aphrodisiac and made plenty of use of it ;)
