RALLY TO THE FINAL PUBLIC HEARING & WEAR GREEN!
We need you to be at the next Full Board Meeting of Community Board 2:
This Thursday, January 23rd, 6:00 p.m.
Scholastic Auditorium, 557 Broadway (between Prince & Spring)
Bodies Count
Community Board 2's Land Use Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of presenting a strongly-worded resolution to the full board in support of preserving the Elizabeth Street Garden as a unique public green, open space. Now it is time for us to take the next step. Our community board and elected officials need to know that open space is a priority for our community, so please come, and bring a friend or two.
Wear Green
Let’s rally again and wear green! We came out in force for November’s Land Use Committee hearing, where speaking up was critical. Now we need to keep the momentum going. Showing up this Thursday is key.
Comfy Chairs
The public session begins at 6:00 p.m. Speaker cards will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. for those wishing to speak. (Bring reading material, as the meeting may last until 9:30 p.m., and we need you and yours there until the Garden is addressed on the agenda.) Individuals who cannot attend are invited to submit written testimony in advance to the Board office, to be placed into the record, at info@cb2manhattan.org.
