Student Startups in Spotlight

Upstate's colleges and universities have long attracted, trained and exported the talent that fuels the most successful companies in the world. Over the past few years, an entirely new model has emerged where entrepreneurial students are able to launch their efforts while still in college and also benefit from access to mentors from surrounding business communities. On April 8 the Upstate Venture Association of NY will host a program in Ithaca titled "Student eShip in CNY: The Untold Success Story". The main event will be presentations by startup teams from SUNY Binghamton, Clarkson, Colgate, Cornell, Ithaca College, LeMoyne College, Syracuse University and Tompkins Cortland Community College. Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani Yogurt and Ernst & Young's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year will deliver the keynote address. Register early to reserve your spot.
