Dear Readers,

The events these next two weeks go above and beyond the standard: there's a two-hour tour exploring literary West Berlin, an exhibition of Germany's "most beautiful books," and a Valentine's Day party that promises an open mic, dancing, and a multi-cultural twist. The warmer-than-normal weather has us in high spirits, so a celebration can only be in store.

With spring approaching and the newsletter growing, I'm also looking for a graphic designer to help me spruce up the look and feel of 'Reading for Pleasure.' If you're interested or have referrals, email me at berlinreads@gmail.com. Otherwise, please keep sharing berlinreads.com and @berlinreads. As always, the more the merrier.

Cheers & Prost,
Stephanie

Berlin-based magazines Alba and SAND are throwing a joint party involving poetry, alcohol, and multiple DJ's. In their own words, they'll be "mixing a cultural cocktail" with "the perfect chaos to bring creativity to surface." The fun starts at 9pm on Friday, February 14, and entry is free with a purchase of either magazine (otherwise, 3 Euros 9-11pm and 5 Euros after that). Sign up for an open mic slot here.
