Please Pray for Swansea University Mission

Dear <<First Name>>,

Brief newsflash: I've just arrived in Swansea to join a University Mission here this week. I'm co-leading a team of students and speakers from The OCCA and we're partnering with Swansea University Christian Union, putting on 14 events tackling the tough questions of the Christian faith and sharing the gospel.

I really wanted to get the word out simply to ask for prayer! We had a great time of prayer tonight at church, we have been praying like mad in the run up, and we will be praying throughout the week! Prayer is key to mission and invites the Holy Spirit to breathe life through all of the planning and arranging, that hearts are warmed to the love of Christ. We can illuminate, illustrate, communicate: only God can change hearts.

There will be two lunch-time talks and large evening events each day. In addition, many of the OCCA students will be staying on campus with CU guests. These can be great times for connecting with housemates etc.

Please pray for:

A passion for the holiness of God for all the Christians taking part, that we might operate from a place of humility and dependency
The word to go out to people across campus that events are happening and that they should check them out
Boldness for Christians at Swansea Uni to invite friends, speak out, and go for it
That I - and all the speakers - might present Christ clearly in the talks and answer peoples objections well
That OCCA students and their CU hosts connect well and good relationships are formed in homes
That the churches of Swansea continue to support the week in prayer and get fired up for following up afterwards (so many are keen and helping - which is HUGE)
That the follow up Christianity Explored courses are well-subscribed and provide good first steps for people just starting to follow Jesus
