GS1 HEALTHCARE UPDATE

GS1 Standards enabling Patient Safety, Efficiency and Traceability
February 2014
Hello and welcome to another GS1 Ireland Healthcare news update.  This is a quick summary of the latest events relevant to healthcare in Ireland.

UDI update: One of the main news items this month is that late last year GS1 was Accredited as an Issuing Agency by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Unique Device Identification (UDI) for Medical Devices to meet new patient safety, traceability and supply chain security regulations; visit our UDI Portal for further details and to register your interest in our UDI training sessions.

Also I will be presenting at the Future in Pharmaceuticals conference at the Aviva Stadium on 26th February this month; details are below if you are interested in finding out more about the conference.

Please feel free to get in touch if there are particular topics that you would like to learn more about.
Happy Reading!
