Dear Moms and Dads

Welcome to another week!

NEW GATE SECURITY SYSTEM
The new gate system has been implemented. Please use your finger print when entering the school. If you have any problems just let me know and we will sort it out for you. The buzzer is still connected in case you need it.

BUT MOST IMPORTANT:
PLEASE! CLOSE BOTH GATES BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU ENTER AND LEAVE THE SCHOOL. FOR THE CHILDREN'S SAFETY!!!!

Jane now has the finger print gadget in her office. If anyone has not had their fingerprint loaded onto the system, or if your fingerprint is not releasing the gate, please come and chat to Jane in the office.
MINI WALK
A special thank you to all those who attended and supported our first fundraiser, The Mini Walk, on Saturday.

We had superb weather and such wonderful company in all our families. Well done to all of you for completing the walk, even though it may have been strenuous in parts carrying your children on hips, and backs!!!!!
The staff and I were so grateful for all the help we received at the food, cool drink and game stalls. Thanks so much, it certainly made for a very enjoyable day.

If you have not handed in your sponsor form, please do so as soon as possible.

Jane has a rough figure at this stage of how much we raised on the day of R13 600.
AGM AMD CLASS DISCUSSIONS
This evening function will be held on Wed 19th February, 6.30pm for 7pm. Please diarise this evening as it is vital that you attend. The business section of the evening will take place first, lasting about 45min. We will be letting you know what we did in and around the school last year and our plans for this year. And also voting a new member on to the school Board of Governors. This will be followed by an interactive chat with the teachers in their classrooms.

WHERE TO HELP!!!!!!!
Thanks to those who have sent on their pink reply slips. We will be in contact with you shortly to let you know what help is needed.
DONATIONS
We are looking for any kids scooters, old black motor bikes, and umbrellas that you may have at home for the children to use in our garden.
Any old tents, blankets, pots and pans, pool pipes, sleeping bags etc for our ‘adventure area’ in the garden as well.
HOME VISITS
Please make a time to invite your child’s teacher to your house for a short visit and perhaps a cup of tea. This is a vital and important part of educating and understanding these small children. Its loads of fun  too!!
FACEBOOK
Please note that the teachers will only be putting photos up on facebook once a week.
Any parent who does not want their child’s photos to appear on facebook needs to let their teacher know.

It is cut up and shared amongst the class just before story time!
