Lesson 141: Daily Help
In our everyday battle with sin, God has not abandoned us to fight alone.
He has made provision for us to win: we are not only dead to sin, but alive to God.
Rom.6:11 you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
This means we are united with Christ who has infinite power.
Phil.4:11-13 I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
John 16:33 At the Last Supper, Jesus said, I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
1 John 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you (the Holy Spirit) is greater than he who is in the world (Satan).
We can’t be holy in our own strength. But His strength has overcome the world.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
