February 2014

Message from the President, Darren Hall

Dear <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the first edition of Cat Chat for season 2014. Pre-season is well under way for both the football and netball teams. About 40 footballers and a number of support staff, traveled to Geelong last week for a training camp at Geelong Grammar and Torquay beach. You can read more about this camp in the story below.

Our A, B and B Reserve netballers are just completing their trials under our new netball coach, Gradey McNicol. We are rapt to have Gradey on board and we are sure that with her vast experience, the girls will have a great and enjoyable year.

I would also like to formally welcome Todd Huggard and Geoff Devine to the board of the Mooroopna Football Netball Club. Todd and Geoff were nominated at October's AGM and both have since made a huge impact at the club. Todd is now our Junior Liaison Officer and Geoff has joined to assist Jacinta Kiss with all things financial.

You are welcome to forward this email to anyone who you believe would be interested in receiving this monthly newsletter, but I would also encourage them to subscribe to Cat Chat on our website by clicking
here.

Finally from me, anyone walking across the John Gray, Bernie Trevaskis or Peewee Young ovals of late, would have noticed how well the surface is looking in preparation for next week's Country Week Tennis. The effort made by council to upgrade these facilities must be applauded. This resurfacing will be beneficial to all clubs at the Recreation Reserve, including the Senior and Junior Football Netball Clubs.

GO CATS!
