NOTICE OF THE 49th  ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
 DATE :        Wednesday 19th February, 2014
 TIME :                  6.30 for 7pm  
 VENUE :     Fish Hoek Pre-Primary School.

 Our school is only as strong as our parent involvement.
 We need you.  Come and make a difference.
 
 Our Board of Governors (Management Committee) consists of the following members :
 
CHAIRMAN :  At the helm to take overall responsibility for the decisions made at the meetings.
 
VICE-CHAIRMAN :  Who will take on the duties of the Chairman in his absence, and take on the responsibility for special projects.
 
COMMITTEE SECRETARY :  To take minutes of every meeting and to ensure that these are then passed on to the rest of the members, to draw up the Agenda for Committee meetings and notify members of such meetings.
 
TREASURER :  The person who keeps tabs on where the money is coming from and going to.
 
 
FUNDRAISER : To raise the necessary funds for the school through various means.  The fundraiser/Board of Governors co-opts parents to be class reps to assist with the organizing of fundraising events.
 
MAINTENANCE :  To oversee maintenance requirements for the school.
 
HUMAN RESOURCES : To assist the school in staff related appointments and issues.
 
The Board of Governors meet once a month in the evenings.  Sub-committees may meet in the afternoons/evenings when necessary.
 
IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF THE DECISION MAKING COMMITTEE OF OUR SCHOOL, PLEASE COMPLETE A NOMINATION FORM THAT YOU CAN COLLECT FROM JANE IN THE OFFICE. (PREFERABLY TO BE HANDED IN BY MONDAY 17TH).
 
OR – IF YOU KNOW OF SOMEONE WHO WILL BE WILLING AND ABLE TO TAKE ON ONE OF THE ABOVE PORTFOLIOS, PLEASE NOMINATE HIM/HER (with their permission of course !)
