Issue No 15: February 2014
My year got off to a colourful start. THANK YOU to all the textile artists that submitted entries for the travelling textile art exhibition
Living Colour! I was honoured to received 177 entries from 160 artists from around the world. Narrowing the collection down to 32 works wasn't easy but I am thrilled with the final, vibrant line-up.
As a special treat for my subscribers, here is an advance preview of three of the works*. Read more below!

Living Colour! Celebrating Life Across the Spectrum
The
Living Colour! exhibition will premiere at the
Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne, 10-13 April 2014. A full website gallery will be published at that time. Meanwhile, I will be sharing some preview detail shots of each of the selected works in a series of blog posts entitled
A Glimpse of Living Colour. I invite you to bookmark the blog feed (www.livingcolourtextiles.com/feed) in your preferred RSS reading app; subscribe by e-mail by filling out the form at the top of the
blog sidebar; or follow the
Living Colour Facebook page to stay up to date.
I look forward to sharing

Other venues, including international events, are under investigation.
Living Colour! is generously supported by
Brother International Australia.
Serendipity Workshops
Between exhibition outings, I have the following workshops scheduled for the first half of 2014. Contact the event organisers if you would like to join me.
I have a new workshop!
Logs & Ladders: Building with Improvisation shows you how you can build your own composition with improvisational units - log cabins, ladders and more. Learn freeform cutting without rulers or templates; how to join irregular blocks; and the effective use of positive and negative space. Explore the design principles of repetition and variation.
My
schedule is filling up but I am open for bookings for later in 2014 and beyond. Download my
Serendipity Patchwork & Quilting Workshops Brochure for more information.
