:: P L A N T S ::
I want to invite you into my indoor painting space.
Plants play a powerful role in my art making. My studio space is permeated with them.
I prefer to paint in wild and natural outdoor spaces, but during the winter months, this is not always possible. My tiny indoor tropical paradise is next best!
Plants inspire creativity.
I am grateful for these incredible companions.

Watercolour with White Gouache on Fabriano

Leopard is queen of the night. Her divine prowess comes alive at twilight, and her magic is illuminated by starlight. The flower on her forehead represents the sacred Brahma Kamal. While the actual species of this symbolic flower is debated, I have chosen to use “Epiphyllum oxypetalum” - a stunning night bloomer that blooms only once or twice a year, and just for a single night. Leopard is a powerful symbol in many cultures, and has long been a totem in many shamanic teachings. Is Leopard speaking to you? Let her impressive nature remind that you have the ability and strength to accomplish anything. Leopard will help guide you on your path and vision.

colour: turquoise
a beautiful blue-green colour

Turquoise blends the tranquility of blue, with the growth of green. It promotes emotional balance and stability, and heightens communication, sensitivity, and creativity. It is a wood element in Feng Shui and its complementary colour is Burnt Orange.

A cat issue would not be complete without honouring my most favourite cat of all, my baby, "Mimine". I illustrated this picture of her and I hope you will colour her!

I'm headed to Kauai for the next few weeks to sing and paint!

My arrival is perfectly timed with the peak arrival of 5,000 Humpback whales. These whales will be breeding and calving around the island for the next few weeks. There are also Grandmother sea turtles on shore, waiting to inspire.

Along with my small team, we will be camping directly along the shores of the island, and in the jungle, all the while embracing the many shades of weather the island has to offer.
It is through adventures like these that I draw my greatest inspiration, and feel my deepest gratitude for Gaia.
