March has come and is almost gone. There has been much excitement here in the seminary with the conclusion of our general chapter. There is also a lot to look forward to as we prepare for the Easter celebrations and the canonization of John Paul II. Life for me lately has been peaceful but with a lot of work. I am trying to get ahead of my studies and finish my thesis this semester which so far has gone pretty well. Please keep me in your prayers, I really appreciate them so much!

Church-A-Thon

I will be doing another Church-A-Thon in less than two weeks, on April 5th! Visiting 25 Churches in one day! So please send me your prayer intentions afreeman@legionaries.org . For this Church-A-Thon we are trying to raise funds for a car for our community. If you can sponsor me for this event and cause you can do so here. Thank you very much!

Sharing the Faith

Rome has a lot to offer as you can imagine. One of the things I love is being part of the 'Catecheitcal Tours' ministry of the seminary. It is a great experience to share the faith through the history, art and culture of the city of Rome. It is also great to meat people from all over. Many people find out about us over the internet or refferals from friends etc, no matter how they know us it is always unique having a tour with an actual seminarian.

Team Encounter

Our seminary is divided into teams of about ten members that help us foster a closer comradery and support. One of the activities we do as a team every couple of weeks is team encounter. The encounter is a great opportunity for us to deepen in our vocation by sharing our various reflections and experiences on our religious life. We choose a passage of the Gospel and a document of the Church that helps us base our reflections from Christ's perspective. It is so encouraging to grow and learn together with seminarians my age that want nothing other than to fulfill God's will in their lives.

Not Alone

The air was thick, the sky dark and the stench overpowering. Metal, wires and burning fires formed the debris of the world trade centers, it was a mountain of suffering. New York city and the country was brought to its knees by the terrible acts committed on September 11, 2001. Human suffering is incomparable, tragedy is unforgettable and none of it makes sense. Read Full Article
