New initiative tackles tropical deforestation

participants in the launch meeting for the tropics initiative.IIASA and Indonesian partner institutions launched the Tropical Flagship Initiative in Jakarta on 17-18 February. The new initiative represents a novel approach to tackling tropical deforestation through policy assessment and capacity building. It brings together multidisciplinary scientists, institutions, and high-level policymakers to address tropical deforestation by developing sustainable land use options. More>>

Southern African YSSP
