Community Group Activities

A couple of the SCSA community groups now have their own page on the SCSA website:

Felixstow-Klemzig Community Group

Getting to know others and building new friendships in our neighbourhood with people sharing interests and concerns is particularly valued in our group. We are encouraged in our efforts to address climate change, food security and resource wastage at the local level. We support each other in growing our own fruit and vegetables, sharing our produce and sharing ideas towards living sustainably. As we exchange ideas and valuable advice we gain a great deal of knowledge and skills. See more

Unley Central Community Group

The Unley Central group meets monthly during the daytime in Hyde Park.  We are mainly a discussion/support group but some of us team up with members of the Parkside Group (which meets at night) in the Garden Group. see more

If your SCSA community group would like to like to have their own page on the SCSA website email  sustainablecommunitiessa@gmail.com.

Clothes Swaps at the One Planet Market

Everybody likes getting new clothes and fashion accessories, but buying new items all the time can be hard on the budget, as well as having an environmental impact. Clothes Swaps aim to help everyone get new clothes without it costing the earth.

In conjunction with the One Planet Market, Sustainable Communities SA will run clothes swaps at Payneham Community Centre, Payneham Road from 10 -12pm on Saturdays: 15 March, 17 May, 19 July, 20 September &  15 November 2014. More information on how the clothes swap will operate.
