Governance
This last weekend, many of you came to one of five meetings where the Elders presented a proposed revision to our church Bylaws.
The first meeting on Saturday morning was for many leaders in the church: adult fellowship leaders, members of all Boards, and others. The same 90-minute format was repeated on Sunday night and Monday night, open for anyone to attend. Two Sunday morning meetings, trimmed to 60 minutes to fit the Sunday schedule, were also presented.
Our special guest speaker at these sessions was TJ Addington, Senior Vice-President of the Evangelical Free Church in America. TJ’s parents (plus all ten of their children!) were missionaries supported by our church many years ago so TJ has a deep connection with us! His book on church governance, High-Impact Church Boards: How to Develop Healthy, Intentional, and Empowered Church Leaders, is available through Amazon. Also, TJ brought several hundred copies of his book When Life Comes Undone as gifts for us. The book shares his personal story during a crisis in his life. Thank you so much, TJ!
A special thank you goes to all who were able to attend these meetings. Thank you for your willingness to give up your Saturday morning, adult fellowship time or evening to hear these important proposals. And a special thanks goes to the Elders who attended every meeting as they shepherded our church family.

Next Steps
Please read and/or review the material in print or on the web.
Our Elders are available to speak further about the proposed revision. If you would like to have two or three Elders come to your adult fellowship or small group in March and April, please contact Sheri Moody.
The vote on the Bylaws will be at the Annual Meeting in May. Implementation of the change will not begin until January 2015. This gives us plenty of time to work through any and all transitions.
Thanks again!

Jesus calls us to a great journey—to follow Him wherever He leads us. He doesn’t always indicate where He is going, just how we will get to where we are headed, nor what the result will be. In fact, the process He leads us through may be as important as the place He leads us to. He asks us to follow into our neighborhoods, communities, and to the nations desiring to make Himself known in those places, as well as reveal Himself more clearly to us. The direction might be unknown but the possibilities are endless. The time is now. Follow Jesus.
See how you can Follow Jesus at evfreefullerton.com/followjesus. Opportunities include: Missio Prayer Gathering, Good Neighbors, Homeless Ministries, Senior Centers, Teen Leadership Camp (TLC), Royal Family Kids, Valencia Park Elementary, Maple School, Backyard Blitz, El Dorado, Short Term Missions, Ensenada Outreach, International Students and more.
