New Master of Education from Maranatha

Enroll in the Master of Education program at MBU and prepare to shape the future of Christian education.

The Master of Education in Teaching and Learning is a new regionally accredited degree program offered by Maranatha Baptist University. Developed by MBU faculty serving in the field of education, the Master of Education program prepares students to accept instructional leadership roles, to advance Christian education, to pursue graduate studies beyond a master’s, and to optimize learning environments for all students.

MEd Degree Highlights

Experienced Faculty | All faculty hold earned terminal degrees and teach from a biblical worldview. Faculty members offer extensive experience in K-12 classroom instruction and are able to apply content and principles to the Christian, private, and public sector of education. At the core of our instruction is the desire to see students researching, problem solving, implementing innovative learning strategies, and exemplifying excellence in Christian education.

Regional Accreditation | The Master of Education in Teaching and Learning is approved by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the largest regional accreditation association in the United States.

Online Format | Because each course is offered online with no residency requirements, the MEd allows you the opportunity to earn your degree from wherever you work or live. Whether in the office, classroom, or at the kitchen table, you will learn with professionals from around the world who have similar goals and aspirations. The MEd online courses are offered on a two-year cycle. Students may enter the program at the start of any eight-week session and may proceed at a pace that fits with their schedules.

Competitive Costs | Accessibility is important, as is a price you can afford. At $380 per credit hour with a one-time technology fee of $100 that extends five years, you will find our costs competitive and our tuition schedule manageable.

Financial Aid | Maranatha Baptist University participates in the Federal Direct Loan Program and is approved for Veterans Benefits, which includes the training of students entitled to benefits under Public Laws 89-358 and 634, Social Security, and Rehabilitation legislation. The WI National Guard currently offers a partial tuition reimbursement for active guard members. For details, visit mbbc.edu/financial-aid.

Future Opportunities | Our mission is to develop leaders for ministry in the local church and the world “To the Praise of His Glory.” The world needs highly qualified Christian educators who can transmit God-honoring values to students in the classroom and beyond. Enroll today in the Master of Education program at MBU and prepare to shape the future of Christian education.
