Thank You!
Developing the Whole Child Through Movement, Art & Nature!

Thank You!

Thank you to all who came out for the 2nd Annual Lovers of Wisdom: Valentine’s Fundraiser at Central Waters Brewery. Attendees enjoyed a romantic dinner with beverages donated by Central Waters Brewing Company, an amazing French inspired menu and music by a string quartet.  There was a live Auction by Fundraising Auction Specialists who did an wonderful job and raised over $3,500 for the Charter School. The proceeds of the Fund A Need went to developing a Healthy Lunch Fund to offset the cost of lunches for families who would normally participate in the free and reduced lunch program funded by the federal government; TRCCS does not qualify for this programming. If you would like to donate to the fund please contact Chamomile at 715-281-4776 or make a donation on the TRCCS website at trccs.org.
Thank you so much to all of those who made this event possible!

Parent Education Series: TRCCS Curriculum and the Common Core

Join us for the Tomorrow River Community Charter School (TRCCS) Parent Education Series on March 19th, 6 pm in Sunset Lodge at CWES (10186 County Road MM, Amherst Junction). The focus of this evening will be the TRCCS Waldorf inspired curriculum and its alignment to the common core standards. This event is for parents of currently enrolled students, parents looking into enrolling their child and community members who want to learn more about Waldorf education and how students are learning here at TRCCS.
The students at TRCCS receive all of the core academics that students in the traditional setting learn; it is the approach to that learning that is fundamentally different. The presentation will be led by Mary Barr Goral PH.D.; Educational Director at Green Meadows Charter School Initiative and Kentahten Teacher Training. She began her career in education more than thirty years ago. After teaching in the public schools in Bloomington, Illinois, for eleven years, she received both her master's and doctorate in curriculum studies and math education from Indiana University. Dr. Goral’s book: “Transformational Possibilities of Schooling: A Study of Waldorf Education,” is a qualitative research report conducted at the Rudolf Steiner School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Goral is the author of the TRCCS curriculum and has focused her carrier on bringing Waldorf Curriculum into the public sector. Please join us; coffee, tea and child care provided.  The event is free and open to the public.
