The Shell Family
Missionaries to Papua New Guinea
Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
What a blessing and cause to rejoice we have as we come to you in this update, dear praying friends! Zechariah has been born again and is now in the family of God! While traveling with Bonnie on the way to town, he was looking intently at the sun-rays coming through the clouds. As Bonnie began to talk with him about what he was looking at, Zechariah began to express that it made him think about the return of Jesus and then with tears, he began to explain to her how he was not ready to meet the Lord. Praise the Lord, on that day faith was mixed with the gospel and Zechariah trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour!
God Gives The Increase
We have been blessed to be in many great churches over the past few months, and you all have encouraged us and helped us on our way. We pray that the Lord has allowed us to minister and be a blessing to you all as well. God has added a great amount of new support over the last couple of months, and we rejoice and look with excitement toward the mission field of Papua New Guinea. We are starting to put plans in order for preparing to leave for the field. Though we may still have several months on deputation ahead of us, there is much to be accomplished and our plate is full. While we remain busy here, we look forward to laboring in the whitened fields of Papua New Guinea. May we see many souls saved and the Lord glorified in all that is said and done.
Psalm 107:8
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Since our last update, we have seen God provide time and time again. His presence puts gladness in our hearts and has been our comfort and joy through every trial and situation. No matter the circumstance, we are grateful that God truly does know how to supply all our need. He truly gives the victory!
A Great Multitude
John 5 speaks of a great multitude of impotent folk who were at the pool by the sheep market. The Bible tells us that three times a year all the men of Israel had to appear before the Lord during the feast. In my mind’s eye I see a large host of people passing by this multitude while on their way to “worship†at the temple. I have to believe that many did business close by this multitude while at the sheep market, and yet there was “no man†to care for that impotent man’s helpless condition. I have not been able to get away from the thought of this great multitude in need, especially as we knock on doors, and talk with people in public. We see so many lives wrecked with sin. It makes no difference whether they are found discarded in the gutter of this world or full of worldly gain but empty of the Saviour’s love, the true need is the same. They need someone to care for their souls; someone to share the gospel with them. May we always be about our Father’s business!
Thank You
It cannot be said enough, thank you for praying for us. We would not be able to continue in this ministry without God using you to supply our needs. May much fruit abound to your accounts, and may we be found faithful stewards of what God has entrusted us with.
Thank you all so much.
