Fratello's
Greetings!

Isn't it a bit much when 20 degrees seems like a heat wave? I know it could be worse and all - blah, blah, blah - but this has been one cold winter, non? But the days are getting longer now, they're practicing baseball already, and it looks like warmer temps are on the way. Seems to me like a good call to head out to dinner this weekend (some surprise, huh?). Besides, you might have heard that it is Valentine's Day tomorrow. We will be featuring this weekend Center Cut Filet Mignon, Jumbo Sea Scallops and Chilean Sea Bass, along with some other tasty items such as veal and shrimp and calamari and eggplant and mussels and clams and pasta and...We'd love to see ya'!

We continue to feature the Cab from Joel Gott and the Spanish red blend, Locations "E", on our feature board, along with the Italian trio of Dolcetto D'Alba from Gagliaso (a bigger style of Dolcetto), Pegasus Toscana (a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah that is very friendly) and Etna Rosso from Firriato, made from the Nerello grape indigenous to the slopes of Mt. Etna, the famous/infamous volcano. As you know we also have a wine list, and this week I enjoyed a bottle of the Prima Causa from the Marenna area of Tuscany. This is a delicious wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, all varietals more associated with Bordeaux, France. Medium to full bodied and in the medium price range, this is an excellent wine to enjoy with your meal and your Valentine  (sorry, couldn't resist). Just a thought.

We are very much appreciative of your continued support, especially during these cold winter evenings. We look forward to seeing you soon, and wish you all a most safe and Happy Valentines' Day!

Ciao
