ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Today, all five members of the Casselberry City Commission endorsed Bob Cortes in his House District 30 race. Casselberry accounts for approximately twelve percent of the registered voting population in House District 30 and is one of the largest municipalities in terms of vote share in that district as well. Mayor Charlene Glancy expressed strong support and applauded Cortes' leadership style.

"Bob Cortes has a deep respect for the families and businesses in our community," said Casselberry Mayor Charlene Glancy. "He understands that by limiting the power that government has on our daily lives we increase the choices for hard working Floridians, concerned parents, and ambitious students. He is the right choice for House District 30."

Joining Mayor Charlene Glancy are Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford, Commissioner Anthony Aramendia, Commissioner Gene Fry, and Commissioner Sandra Solomon. All members of the City Commission are elected at large, by voters throughout the city. Mayor Charlene Glancy was first elected Mayor in 2008 and has previously served on the Metroplan Municipal Advisory Committee, the City's Code Enforcement Board, and the Charter Review Advisory Committee. She is President of the Women's Club of Casselberry and also dedicates herself to ending hunger and homelessness.

"If all public servants were like Mayor Glancy, we would be solving community problems even faster," said Bob Cortes. "She and the entire Casselberry Commission have set an example with their leadership of one of the most impressively thriving communities in Florida, even as we recover from recession. It's an honor and a privilege to receive these endorsements."

Mayor Glancy, Vice Mayor Hufford, Commissioner Aramendia, Commissioner Fry, and Commissioner Solomon join a significant list of community leaders as well as current and former elected officials who are supporting the Cortes for House District 30 campaign. These include Florida Senator Aaron Bean; Florida House Majority Leader Steve Precourt; State Representatives Frank Artiles, Jason Brodeur, Jose Felix Diaz, Manny Diaz Jr., Erik Fresen, Eddy Gonzalez, Bryan Nelson, Jeanette Nuñez, David Santiago, John Tobia, and Ritch Workman; United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Hans Hertell; Orange County Commissioners Fred Brummer, Pete Clarke, and Jennifer Thompson; Orlando City Commissioner Tony Ortiz; Seminole County Sheriff Don Eslinger; Seminole County Property Appraiser David Johnson; Seminole County School Board Chairman Karen Almond; Seminole County School Board Members Amy Lockhart and Diane Bauer; Sanford Vice-Mayor Randy Jones; former Governor of Puerto Rico Luis Fortuño; former State Representative John Quinones; former State Representative Anthony Suarez; former Seminole County Commissioner Dick Van Der Weide; former Seminole County Commission Chairman Fred Streetman; former Seminole County Commissioner and former Lake Mary Mayor Randy Morris; Randy Garrett, Group 3 Supervisor of the Seminole County Water and Conservation Board; Ariel Gaussart, Group 1 Supervisor of the Seminole County Water and Conservation Board; former Maitland Mayor Doug Kinson; and former Lt.
