2013 Study Tour participants
2014 Confucius Institute Student and Young Professionals Study Tour - 12-25 July, 2014

The 2014 Confucius Institute Study Tour offers a fantastic opportunity for students and young professionals (aged 18-40) to learn about Chinese language and culture through a Nanjing University language short-course. The tour also includes a number of cultural activities, briefings and visits in Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai.
 
This two week tour is subsidised by Confucius Institute Headquarters, offering a cost-effective option for participants. Total cost of the program is $2,600 (inc international airfares).

2014 Confucius Institute Scholarship
 
2014 Confucius Institute Scholarship applications have opened. Confucius Institute students and alumni (aged 18-35) are encouraged to apply to study at China's most well-regarded universities.

Scholarships available in 2014:
  • One academic year of in-country Chinese study
  • One semester of in-country Chinese study
  • Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)
  • One academic year of Chinese study + MTCSOL
Scholarships cover tuition fees, registration fees, fees for basic learning materials and accommodation on campus; a monthly allowance; one-off settlement subsidy and comprehensive medical insurance and benefit plan for international students in China.

Jonathan Sumner was one of nine successful scholarship winners from CI at Melbourne Uni in 2013. 2013 recipients are currently studying at Peking University, Xiamen University etc. Jonathan took a career break from accounting, to study at Nanjing University.
Chinese on Collins - Introductory Chinese course

Learn Chinese and meet other China-interested peers from a variety of industries.

Class time: 6-8pm
