Dear Moms and Dads
Welcome to another week!

Well done to all our dads who braved the rather chilly conditions last Friday evening and camped with their children in the school garden.
The children had a ball, damp and all!!!!!!

We have been asked to do another camp-out towards the end of the year so watch this space and we will see if we can organise another one later on in the year.

Congrats to all those who rode ‘The Argus.’ Hope you are not too sore today!!!!!

Parent interviews start next week. Please remember to put your name down in a slot that suits you. The rosters are up outside the classrooms.
CLASS REP MEETING

MARKET DAY AT FHPPS 9am-2pm
Please keep 12th April open and remember to join us at school for a fun filled day of craft tables, good food and fun activities for the children. We will need parents to help man tables on the day and we will need assistance in the upcoming weeks.
*We have space for 50 crafters including 5 food stalls-if you know of anyone who would like to have a stall please ask them to chat to us in the office-R150/table
We have a form that needs to be filled out if you would like a table. Stating all particulars etc. Please come and pick one up in the office or we can email it to you!

This week we are asking you to donate Toys and books for our Toy and book stall. Please have a look at home and bring in your good quality toys and books to the office.
SECURITY SYSTEM
Jane has the finger print gadget in her office. If anyone has not had their fingerprint loaded onto the system, or if your fingerprint is not releasing the gate, please come and chat to Jane in the office. The new cards have not arrived yet but should be here by next week!!
CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAYS
Please only send in one special treat for the class when it is your child’s birthday. No party packs Please!
FOOD PARCELS
It has come to our attention that there are families amongst us that are really struggling financially and are battling to put food on the table. We would like to extend a hand of generosity if it is possible, by donating tinned and non-perishable food stuffs. Donations can be left in the Mandela Box and I will distribute as needed.
OPEN DAY
We will be having our Open Day on Saturday 15th March from 9am-11am. This is for prospective parents, those who are interested in sending their children to our school or who would like to view our school. Please let friends and family know about this day so that they too can have a share of our fabulous school and all that it has to offer our children.
The school will be set up so that the children can do some art activities and play in our fantastic garden, while their parents chat to the teachers and learn more about our school.
MY SCHOOL CARD
Please support our school by getting a ‘My School Card’. We will do all the necessary submission etc. We just need you to fill out the forms that are avaliable in the office. This a very easy way of getting funds for our school. Please support!
GRADE R PARENTS
Please make sure that you apply as soon as possible to the local school for your child for Grade 1 in 2015.
Don’t delay!
Please follow up and chat to me, Lisa Pedersen or your child’s teacher if you have any queries or concerns.
