Dr. Lindsey Boone
Had Her Baby!

Dr. Lindsey Boone, and her husband Shaun, welcomed their new beautiful baby girl, Haley, to the world on January 23rd!  Dr. Boone has been on maternity leave for the past few weeks, but she is returning to work full-time this week.  Contact the office if you'd like to setup an appointment with Dr. Boone.

Equine Educational Talk Tonight!

Dr. Anne Baskett will be giving a presentation covering equine ulcers at the Train Depot in Landrum, SC tonight at 7:00pm. The presentation will cover recognizing the symptoms, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment options.  You can sign-up for the event and find more information through our Facebook Events page.

Race 4 The Fallen 5k

The Tryon Equine team had a great time at the Race 4 The Fallen 5k in Columbus March 1st.  It was a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday evening while helping a very worthy cause.  Follow this link to learn more about the great work their doing at Race 4 the Fallen.

Help Support Local Trainer Amy Barrington on Her Road to Recovery 

Tryon Equine Hospital urges the residents of Tryon horse country to support local trainer Amy Barrington.  The Schooling and Fun Show at Riverbend Equestrian Park on Saturday, March 22nd. is a great way to do just that.  The event has been setup in order to help cover Amy Barrington's medical expenses. Follow this link for more show information.

Have Been Up To:


Dr. Hay:
- Celebrated Christmas in Canada with Dr. Baskett's family
- Enjoyed watching his daughter, Emma, perform in "Fiddler on the Roof"
- Enjoying family rides with Anne and the kids on his new Percheron/Thoroughbred Cross


Dr. Baskett:
- Finished "stall rest" after back surgery, and she's looking forward to getting back in the saddle
- Attended Pine Top to watch her two daughters, Katie and Emma, event 


Dr. Metcalf:
- Participated in the Asheville Half Marathon last weekend
- Will be attending the ISELP Stifle & Thigh CE in Menlo Park, CA April 4th-6th 
- Continued to provide veterinary services every 3 weeks in Hilton Head, SC with our sister practice, Bluffton Equine

- Went on vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
- Gave two informational talks at the Tack Shop covering laminitis and vaccinations
- Preparing/training for the Goodwill MudRun coming up next month


Dr. Reynolds:
- Attended IVAS courses in San Antonio, TX as she works towards a certification in veterinary acupuncture
- Celebrated Owen's first horseback ride

Dr. Boone:
- Had a baby!
- Had an article published in the Journal of Veterinary Surgery "A Comparison of Tensile Strength & Early Healing of Acute Repeat Celiotomy Through a Ventral Midline or a Right Ventral Paromedian Approach"
