Learning French
Life in Massy at Language School
The days have flown by over the past 2 months that I have been living in France. Some moments are challenging, while others are exciting opportunities to use the language. It has been fun to interact with French, yet I still have much to learn. Please continue praying that I live each day here with purpose and that I can comprehend what is taught.
I have also learned more about French culture and French colonization. The approach left many former colonies in less developed conditions than neighboring British colonies. Thus, education, hospitals, and infrastructure are still underdeveloped in much of Francophone West Africa. Pray that EMI can continue connecting with ministries that are making an impact with the hope of Jesus in these countries.
Last week I had the privilege of spending school vacation in Schladming, Austria with Christian airline personnel from around the world at Tauernhof, a Torchbearers International facility. The time was refreshing in body, soul, and spirit, and I am thankful for the opportunity to take a break from French for a week in the beautiful Austrian Alps. I have returned to classes this week eager to grow in the French language.
