The first installment of the AustCham Beijing Business Leaders Speaker Series brought together industry experts Global Head of KPMG's Michael Andrew, Chief Representative of The Economist Intelligence Unit's Xu Sitao, Head of North Asia and Russia Macquarie MIRA's Ben Way, and Westpac's Head of Greater China Andrew Whitford to discuss the 2014 economic forecast for China and the world.

For the first time in history, the Australian and New Zealand communities will come together to celebrate the AustCham Ball. Igniting a feeling of the sleek and modern, this year's theme 'Silver' will serve up guests a delectable six course meal and canapes, creatively designed by the China World Hotel's top chefs, and a range of delicious regional wines that will flow throughout the night. Music, dancing and sleek entertainment will be provided by Beijing funk and soul legends Tavey Lean and the Solid Gold Dream Machine, plus a range of interactive entertainment.

Dr. Stanford is from the United States and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (Drexel University) in Philadelphia in 1985. He is Board Certified/Recertified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG) and specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, chronic pelvic pain disorders including endometriosis and interstitial cystitis, incontinence, and pelvic reconstructive surgery.
With over 25 years of experience in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Uro-gynecology, Dr. Stanford has received many awards including the Violet Bowen-Hugh MD Women’s Awareness Humanitarian Award in 2010, for humanitarian work in Africa.
He speaks English, Spanish and French.
