A Solo Acoustic Performance Opening for the wonderful Charlie Hunter
The Falcon
1348 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY
By Donation
It's been almost 2 years since my last solo appearance at The Falcon, and I'm thrilled to have been asked to open for the wonderful Charlie Hunter. I'll be doing some tunes from my solo piano CD, plus some old and new favs, including songs by Joni Mitchell & Beck.
First coming to prominence in the early 1990s, Charlie Hunter has recorded 17 albums. He plays custom-made seven and eight-string guitars, on which he simultaneously plays basslines, rhythm guitar, and solos. He's an agile improviser with an ear for great tone.
The Vibe & the food at the Falcon is world class. As usual, there is NO COVER - just a donation box. Their Motto is "Support Living Artists", and I'm proud to be both a supporter and supported by their efforts.
