TOP STORY: TERMITE SEASON 2014

Experts are are predicting
a very active season for
termite swarmers.

You don’t see termites very often because they live in the ground or potentially in the walls of your home.

During spring, however, mature termite colonies will produce winged reproductive termites that fly off in great numbers. This process is called “swarming” and it’s nature’s way of termites spreading and establishing new colonies.

Most of the time, a termite swarm is the only time you’ll actually see termites or realize your home has an infestation before damage is discovered. If swarming termites emerge from areas within your home, the good news is that they will drop and die in a short period of time. The bad news is that if you see swarmers, it's very likely that your home has an established termite infestation.

What To Do If You See A Swarm:

  1. DON’T panic! Swarmers don’t bite or sting.
  2. DO try to contain them as much as possible. Close the door to any rooms you find them swarming in.
  3. DO contact us! We’ll send one of our trained termite inspectors out to make a positive identification and recommend the best solution, so that you and your family can rest easy.
